Strung out
“Ya es desil fuhl” I had to hone my listening skills working with a moving crew from back East. What? I asked “ya that is diesel fuel.” I knew exactly what he was talking. NOS Red Bull monster Rockstar. Some go through stages me I got strung out fast. 2008 I moved to Las Vegas, stayed with friend until escrow closed. Javier had a tenant who was a rockstar rep and this dealer oops I mean guy would threw a case or two his way. Next thing you know I was up to 3 a day, got the 2 gardeners hooked. The grounds never looked better. I would wake up & first thing I’d reach for a cold one. The gardeners started at the house first thing in the morning instead of later. OMG. As luck would have it, my condo was ready and I was cut off. My poker game suffered because if you have enough money and time your luck will change. Why this particular energy drink? Music to my ears ” No crash”

Ah the intimidation and the fear. I remember our first encounter You don’t. The rhetoric I listened to while your hands and mind were busy. Your
spouse says you are Gifted. I say you are throw back to a time when TV introduced us to Marcus Welby MD. and Emergency and the doctor was always right. You were to me a feminist of the second wave. To me you championed many a female. You struck a chord in me enough to quote a part of a Famous Carly Simon song “I bet you think this song is about you” It is.

Omg the taste of defeat…no way. I toiled over what to say given this assignment. Some have said the impact of others is never known in my case I want you to know. Subtleties do not apply with you. You are a force of nature that at times I am not prepared for yet I face you straightforward even as I walk away.I am listening. The skills you possess blow me away. The math you solve so quickly, your physical strength which is so deceptive based on how you look produce a quiet knowing that I will never experience fear. You often say “I know you” I say “So what I don’t want to know you”, I want to keep admiring you, hang with you and accept you. You say “You always get what you want”.

TWINE this word I know describes a thin strong rope. Flesh, breast , task. and fast are my favorite words. Not their definition or what they mean when I say or write them down Theses words involve & require your mouths full attention. I love saying them slow and complete. I had a dream this morning don’t really remember it but the word twine made its debut and now it’s my favorite word.

This is the Blanca. I met Miss feral about 5 years ago. She is a testament to love. “We’ve had a lot of feral cats come and go” we soften all her food and she has water. I can’t believe she is thriving consider the circumstances. She is a lovely mess I think she’s a girl. She subscribes to the same condition as when I first wrote about her. Thank you Blanca for sticking around and teaching me the power of love for all things beautiful. Ziajian.

“Please put out some food for Blanca” hanging out at my folks Welding shop in between trucking gigs I see Blanca a contorted cat as though she’s been flattened by a flatbed. Her meow isn’t even complete I tear up never having seen an animal near death I think initially, I take a pic and miraculously she appears more feline and proper since it does not capture the missing teeth blackened gum line and consistent eye crud. I leave food out walk back into office and my Mom says “isn’t she beautiful I just love her” No mystery feral sticks around where fed. I say to self “she is so ugly she is beautiful.”
The Power of Intention.
When “The Secret” books tapes came on scene some say “Oh yea I get it” the part I love is the subconscious momentum. Here’s an Example. I am determined to learn Mandarin. I am driving everyone nuts with talking out loud the audio tapes & singing. Recently while waiting in a large room empty except a lady with a pad who looks up & says “I hope you don’t mind I’m studying Mandarin” next thing you know I’m in stitches because she’s a tipsy and she also speaks French so the tones sounded French. We start dishing it up as hens do cackling and what have you. Then while on a train I offer my seat to a gal & her 91 year old mom she’s say no “I’m going let my mom sit here and ask the attendant to take her to her room in a little bit” I blurt out I can take her back and watch her” “Well she has Alzheimers” “I’m a nurse” I said. “Besides I need to practice..” Next thing you know she sits down we laugh she corrects me without regarding my feelings “Your Tones are all wrong” “You better be careful not to call your mother a horse” Met a teenager from Shanghai and we talked about a movie she said “yes after that movie came out every girl wanted a gay boyfriend” All this went down in 2 days enough to keep the momentum. Half hour stop Starlight Coastline. Peeps off train outside for stretch or smoky treat. Then I see heavy set dude get on as he moves toward a bath area. Several Amtrak men in loud stern voices telling guy ” Get off the train” no
comply 5 guys now man up around him popo called trespass ticket quick ride to station. Apparently he got kicked off another earlier train. Funny thing me & another guy felt bad for the dude. He could have timed it better or walked away. He may have wanted a place to rest or eat and maybe he succeeded.
